Three youths were arrested after being caught in the act of breaking into the Greerton Super Liquor.

Tauranga police Senior Sergeant Carl Purcell said police were alerted to the break-in by an alarm activation about 1am on Sunday.

Police caught the trio as they were trying to get out of the Cameron Rd store.
