The New Zealand franchises get underway in the Super 15 this weekend, with two highly competitive matches between the Highlanders and Chiefs in Dunedin on Friday night, and the Hurricanes and Blues in Wellington on Saturday night.
But the England cricket team has just started their much awaited tour of New Zealand so is it possible to have rugby and cricket played at the same time of the year?
