Would-be burglars scared off
Security guards managed to scare off would-be intruders from a burglary at Katikati overnight.
Senior Sergeant Mark Holmes said there was an attempted burglary of a surf store in the township overnight, where someone tried gaining access to the store via the roof.
"But they were disturbed by security guards and took off," Mr Holmes said.
Police will continue with inquiries today.
