Woman hurt in Whakamarama house fire

The Omokoroa fire brigade was rushed to a house fire at Whakamarama at 7.20pm last night. 

Omokoroa fire chief Ian Blunt said a 1-bedroom bungalow was gutted by fire after a candle set the curtains alight.

The occupant, a 46-year-old woman, suffered smoke inhalation and a small heat burn to her arm.
