A young woman crossing the road at a Six 60 gig was hit by a vehicle, and police are asking for help finding the driver responsible.

Around 10.30pm on Friday, the 19-year-old was struck as she crossed Mount Maunganui's Newton Rd, near Brewers Bar where popular band Six 60 were performing.

The vehicle had been travelling toward Hull Rd.

Police would like to speak with the driver of the vehicle concerned or any witnesses who might have seen the incident.
