More FM Winery Tour 2011
Where: Wharepai Domain.
When: Saturday
Time: Gates open 5pm. Concert begins 6pm.
Cost: Presale $65 or $80 on the gate.

New Zealand songbird Brooke Fraser will be a crowd favourite at the More FM Winery Tour at Wharepai Domain this Saturday. More than 2500 people are expected to attend the Tauranga performance this weekend. It is an outdoor concert and will play rain or shine. Read more...

Mudslide 2011
Where: Bruning's Farm Omokoroa, 182 Ross Rd, Whakamarama.
When: Sunday.
Time: 9am-3pm.
Cost: $10 entry. 

Western Bay of Plenty Scouts have created a 60m mudslide - guaranteed to give a thrilling experience. This slide is part of a army-style obstacle course designed for young people and accompanying adults at Omokoroa on Sunday, February 20, from 9am to 3pm. Read more...

Genealogy @ The Mount
Where: Tauranga Learning Centre, Tauranga City Library.
Time: 10-11am.

Bring your own research with you. www.ancestry.com and www.findmypast.co.uk are available at all libraries for a cost of $1 per 15 minutes. Topic for this session is Find My Past. Courses are popular so please book by phoning 577 7085.

An Emerald City album release with The Checks
Where: Brewers Bar
Time: 9pm-1am.

This Berlin-based band are returning home for a nationwide tour and to release their second album The Fourth. Tickets $22 and are available from www.undertheradar.co.nz

Dub Down Deluxe
Where: Astrolabe, Mount Maunganui.

Entry $5, which will go to Surf Life Saving Bay of Plenty.

SATURDAY:

Art in the Park
Where: Coronation Park.
Time: 7.30am-5pm.

Tauranga Society of Artists offer for sale a variety of art to suit all tastes. Sunday if wet.

Little Big Markets
Where: Corner of Matai St and Maunganui Rd.
Time: 9am-2pm.

Include fashion, vintage, jewellery, arts, crafts, childrenswear, food, homewares, live music and more.

International Hockey at Blake Park
Where: Tauranga Hockey Centre, Blake Park.
Time: 3pm

Be a part of the Malaysia Airlines Golden Summer Series and check out the New Zealand mens hockey team, the Black Sticks, take on Korea. The men will play two games, 3pm Saturday and 3pm Sunday. Adults $15/day, children (5-17 years) $5/day. Family pass available.

Global Breakthrough Festival
Where: Baypark Stadium.
Time: 3-9pm.

Enjoy the sounds of Sola Rosa, Tahuna Breaks and Opensouls. Other live entertainment such as street art, skate exhibition and creative market. Also the world's largest inflatable slide and mechanical surfboard. Tickets available from outlets listed on lovethemount.co.nz.

Jason Kerrison and The Babysitters Club
Where: Astrolabe, Mount Maunganui.
Time: 10pm start.

Celebrate the unofficial end to the More FM Winery Tour Tauranga performance, Opshop's Jason Kerrison and The Babysitters Club are set to play at Astrolabe. Entry by donation, first 50 people through the door will receive a free CD.

Get Funk'd
Where: Play Nightclub.
Time: Doors from 10pm.

Internationally renowned DJ-producer team, The Good Guys, are coming to Tauranga for a one-night performance. The group will be supported by Matty T, Made OF Horror (Akl), Itchyfingaz (Well), Wade Marriner, Tom Barnett (Akl), DJP, Aeon, Jacob Fielding and more. SUNDAY:

'Give it a Go' Day
Where: Baywave, Mount Maunganui.
Time: 10am-1.45pm

$1 entry fee, guests are welcome to have a go at swimming, waterpolo/flippaball, synchronised swimming and more.

Athenree Homestead Open Day
Where: Athenree Homestead.
Time: 10am-4pm.

Art and antique roadshow where you can buy local art work and bring antiques to be valued, $2/item. Entry $5.

Tauranga Musica
Where: Tauranga Park Auditorium, 383 Pyes Pa Rd.
Time: 3pm.

The Antipodes String Trio is a dynamic young ensemble, which brings together two of New Zealand's leading young string players, Christobel Lin and Nicholas Hancox with one of USA's most outstanding young cellists, David Requiro.

Katikati Twilight Concert
Where: 99 Rea Road, Katikati.
Time: Gates open 5pm, music from 6pm.
Tickets $15/adult, 15 and under free, at gate.

Elms Twilight Concert

Where: The Elms, Mission St.
Time: 6-8pm.
Gates open at 4.30pm. Entry $20, school age children $5.
