The Tauranga branch of the National Street Rod Association and Mount Mainstreet bring a new event to Mount Maunganui on Saturday.

Over 150 classic cars and hot rods, as well as bikes and show cars will fill the main street of Downtown the Mount.

People are invited to come along and enjoy a display of vehicles, from 1919 Ford T Buckets, Chevrolets, Corvettes, Buicks, and Thunderbirds to a 2012 Mustang and more.

Prince Avenue will be changed into Bike Alley. People can see Harleys and Triumphs. The carpark will become Performance Alley for competition cars, foodies, and even a Fire Engine for the kids.

Visitors can vote for their favourite car and bike at the voting station on the Cruisedeck.

A free Park n Ride shuttle bus will drive between Mt Sports Centre on the corner of Maunganui Rd and Hull Rd to Rata Street.

There will be something to do for the whole family with the Al Dawson Band, rock n roll, face painting, kids 'fair food' and hopefully lots of sunshine this weekend.
