The kiwifruit vine-killing disease Psa-V is continuing to spread like wildfire throughout the Western Bay and further afield.

This week, 74 new orchards have been identified with Psa-V.

This brings the total number of affected orchards to 1887.

Latest figures from Kiwifruit Vine Health revealed there were 36 new cases of Psa-V identified in Katikati, 19 in Tauranga West, four in Coromandel, four in Franklin, three in Tauranga East, three in Waikato, two in Whangarei (provisional), one in Waihi, one in Opotiki and one in Kerikeri.
