Three in court following P-lab fire
Three people will be in court this morning following a fire in Katikati yesterday, which occurred as police executed a drugs warrant.
A 35-year-old man from Katikati, a 37-year-old man from Maketu and a 26-year-old woman from Tauranga are all jointly charged with arson and conspiring to manufacture methamphetamine and will appear before Tauranga District Court.
Police will return to Park Road today as the scene of the fire is examined to establish the cause. Until that examination is complete it is not possible to confirm whether or not there was a methamphetamine lab at the site.
