Feleti Sofele, a top senior tennis player from Auckland, bagged all three titles over the weekend at the annual WBOP Seniors tennis tournament held at Tauranga Lawn.

Sofele defeated Gate Pa president Mike Callard in the singles on Friday, then joined with Steve Buckmaster to win the doubles on Saturday before he took out the mixed doubles title with Janine Thurwell on Sunday.

The top division for mens, ladies doubles and mixed doubles were very impressive and some excellent tennis was on show over the three days, watched by players and spectators.

The weather was perfect all weekend, especially Saturday which climbed to 25 degrees, and contributed to many dry and tired bodies.

The tournament was a great success for all who were practicing their nationals combinations or testing their singles fitness throughout the weekend.
