Two talented Tauranga acts have not given up hope of making it through to the next round of New Zealand's Got Talent.

Hopefuls from around the country are jumping at the chance to earn the wildcard slot in this year's comptition.

The top five acts, as voted by the public, will go to Auckland to perform in front of the jugdges with the winner guaranteeing themselves a place in the top 30.

Otumoetai College musical theatre group Lo MADAS are hopeful they will receive enough public support to push them through.

Several of the members narrowly missed out on making it through the Tauranga auditons as soloists.

On their online profile they described themselves as a passionate and talented bunch.

"Sometimes the under dogs and the little guys need a chance. Just being on T.V. would be a dream come true and achieve so much in their young lives," they said.

Lo MADAS is currenlty ranked 73rd with 398 votes.

Tauranga singer Stevie Reweti is also vying for votes.

On her online profile she said she should win because "I am unique and am very passionate about what I sing".

She is currently ranked 118th with 224 votes.
