It was a sunny and dry November, according to statistics from the latest National Climate Summary.

The latest results from NIWA National Climate Centre showed it was very dry across most of New Zealand, including the Bay of Plenty.

This lead to unusually low soil moisture levels for the time of the year in the same areas.

Temperatures were slightly cooler than average but most days were sunny, with little rainfall recorded.
