Guy Williams

Kiwi comedian Guy Williams can be seen on TV3's comedy show Jono and Ben at Ten, has won the 2012 Billy T Award, and is about to undertake a stand-up comedy national tour with fellow comedian Rose Matafeo. He speaks out against bullying as part of The Daily Post's Stop The Hate campaign.

Guy Williams says there is a fine line between bullying and joking on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

"It's very risky and you should always be very careful," he said.

"You could be joking when it could be seen as bullying."

Growing up with the name Guy, Williams said kids would often swap the letter u for an a and call him gay. He believed the word gay as a form of teasing should be eradicated.

"It's not okay to call people gay."
