Stabbing victim remains in hospital

A man who was stabbed in Welcome Bay is in a stable condition in Tauranga Hospital.
Emergency services were called to a property in Mamaku Rise, Welcome Bay, about 4.40pm yesterday.
Tauranga Police Acting Sergeant Scott Merritt said a man was taken to Tauranga Hospital with a stab wound.
At 1pm today, a Tauranga Hospital spokesperson said the man was in a stable condition.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection to the incident.
