Phillipa Bayley was found guilty of wounding with intent to cause grevious bodily harm in Tauranga District Court this afternoon.

The jury was unanimous in its view that her pitbull dog was involved in the attack but divided in relation to whether or not Bayley had deliberately set the dog on her sister.

Bayley was remanded in custody to be sentenced on November 5.
