Shanton gone into receivership

File

The company behind retail clothing chain Shanton has gone into receivership.

The receiver says all 39 shops will continue trading pending completion of a going-concern sale.

Receiver Anthony Harris said store employees have been told they can keep their jobs and will receive all outstanding wages within a week.

He said gift vouchers, credits, refunds and laybys will be honoured in full.

Shanton Clothing has a store on Grey St in Tauranga.
