Tauranga city council advises that there have been a couple of sewer overflows reported since the recent heavy rain.

There is one at Papamoa in Bermuda Drive which affects the Harrisons Cut stormwater pond.

The stormwater pond sits between Santa Barbara Drive, Kokomo Key, Bermuda Drive, Catalina Key and Sovereign Drive.

The overflow was reported on Wednesday at 4.30pm.

Water quality test results due on Monday.

The other overflow was at Bellevue in Princess Road affecting the Matua Estuary around Bay Street.

This was reported this morning but appears to have been overflowing for a few days.

Contractors are on site cleaning up this morning.

Health warning signs are in place at both locations.
