Section of SH29 closed while truck is removed
The NZTA advises that a section of State Highway 29 close to the intersection with State Highway 1 in the Waikato is to be closed today between 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm to allow the removal of a truck from a drain on the side of the highway.
The truck left the road in the early hours of this morning and was well off the road in the drain, with no impact on traffic flow through this area as a result.
During today's one hour closure, detours will be in place which will add about 20 minutes to motorists' travel times through this area.
Following the truck's removal, the road is expected to reopen shortly after 2.30 pm today.
