Rex Prole in court today
The Tauranga builder accused of murdering his wife appeared in Tauranga District Court today in the next step toward finalising a high court trial.
Rex Leverett John Prole was remanded in custody until a post comittial conference on November 6.
A trial is likely to go ahead in the Rotorua High Court.
The 64-year-old is charged with the murder of 57-year-old Robyn Prole, whose body was found lying near the entrance to her home in Bell St, Judea on July 20.
A post-mortem examination revealed that Mrs Prole, a Brookfield Primary School teacher, died as a result of a single stab wound.
