Rena container tally mounts
Almost 900 containers have been removed from the Rena.
Since this time last week, 81 containers have been removed from the ship and brought to port.
The total number of containers removed from the wreck is 896. A Braemar Howells spokesperson said good progress had been made on beach clean-up operations.
About 90 bags, which mainly contained beads, were removed from Coromandel beaches on Saturday.
The spokesperson said teams continued to work at Sailors' Grave and Otara Bay and other Coromandel beaches, as these areas had been impacted by bead debris pushed ashore by wind or high tides.
