Police email warning
Emails claiming to be a police infringement notice should not be opened according to Papamoa police.
A Papamoa resident received an email with a police logo that claimed to be a ticket.
It would appear the email contained a virus because his computer shut down as soon as the email was opened.
Police do not send any infringement notices electronically and such emails should be deleted without being opened.
