Police ask for information to find missing man

Police are asking the public for information on the whereabouts of 22-year-old Joshua Falwasser, who was trying to catch a ride back to Kiwitahi, Morrinsville from Tauranga on Friday, 14 December.

Joshua's family last spoke to him by text message on Friday, 14 December.

Mr Falwasser said he had been dropped off in Tauranga for a party on Wednesday, December 12 and was hitching back from Tauranga for work the following morning.

He said he was walking just outside of Tauranga at the time, and nobody was picking him up.

A few minutes later, a family member sent Mr Falwasser another text message to say they would come and pick him up, but there was no reply.

Mr Falwasser has been described as Maori, about 165cm tall, of slim build with very short hair.
