Person hit by car in Welcome Bay
A pedestrian has been hit by a car in Welcome Bay, Tauranga.
The accident happened just before 4pm.
Tauranga Police Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said the person was breathing and conscious but complaining of back pain.
The collision happened just before 4pm today at the intersection of James Cook Drive.
Emergency services are at the scene and police are talking to witnesses.
