Mikey Napier is organising the Mount Hardpark show on Saturday.

More than 300 performance cars will roll into Mount Maunganui and park up for all to see this weekend.

The first ever Mount Hardpark drift, drag and street car show kicks off at Brewers Feild at 11am on Saturday.

Organiser Mikey Napier said the show was shaping up to be a big day.

He and business partner Dave Brennan, who own Mount Maunganui-based brand Illusiv Clothing and auto company Brennan Performace Products, are expecting a couple of thousand people to turn up to the free event.

"There's something for everyone," Mr Napier said.

There is face painting, food, live entertainment, give aways and the Miss Hardpark Bikini Competition.

Mr Napier said the event was inspired by the area's reputation for impressive cars.

"The Mount and Tauranga always had a big car scene and it's died off lately but we wanted to show people the right way to do it. Not everyone's out there doing silly things," he said.

The show runs from 11am to 5pm.

General admission free. $10 per car on display.
