Otumoetai pool is open
The Otumoetai pool is open.
The facility opened this morning after problems with the pool's pump.
A Tauranga City Council spokeswoman said the pool was expected to open on yesterday morning but contractors had problems installing the new pump.
The pool has been closed since Saturday after temperatures dropped significantly.
When inspected, small stones were found in the pool pump.
This caused the drop in temperature, the spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, the Greerton Aquatic Centre will be closed from September 17 to October 12 while the pools are repainted.
The Clubfit facilities will remain open.
Work is also being done at Mount Hot Pools. The facility is currently being re-roofed.
It is expected this work will be completed by October 26.
