Orange Day parade
Students dressed in orange will spread the road safety message tomorrow.
The annual Orange Day kicks off at the Tauranga waterfront at 9.15am tomorrow.
Schools, the police and Tauranga City Council's travel safe team will take part in a parade to celebrate another year of road safety.
MP Simon Bridges and Western Bay police Area Commander Inspector Clifford Paxton will address the horde of students and cut the ribbon to start the parade.
The parade will procced along the waterfront, up Harrington St and along Wharf St into Grey St before turning into Elizabeth St and onto Devonport Rd. The students will then head back down to The Strand and their finishing point at the Edgewater Fan area.
Students will then head to Baywave for banner judging, a swim and a sausage sizzle.
Each school has made banners displaying road safety messages to remind road users to be aware.
More than 400 students took part in last year's parade.
