Oil spill on Takitimu Dr

Motorists are being urged to drive with caution after an oil spill on Takitimu Dr this morning.
Emergency services are cleaning up the oil spill, which has spread across both lanes of the highway.
The oil appears to have leaked from a gypsy-type truck.
Tauranga police senior sergeant Mark Holmes said the spill happened near the Cambridge Rd overbridge.
He said the spill affected northbound traffic, heading from Tauranga towards Bethlehem.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after it happened, at about 7.30am.
Motorists are being asked to drive with care.
