A new trust has been set up to support Western Bay children with kidney problems and their families.

The formation of Kidney Kids (WBOP) Parental Support Trust was announced by chairman Peter Wyatt today.

The initial funds are from Kidney Kids' share of the proceeds of last June's Bay of Plenty Times/Bethlehem Foundation Annual Auction.

The trust will seek to support families with special needs arising from their children having kidney-related problems and needs.

The t
rustees are Peter Wyatt, Sharlene Rowling, Dr Hugh Lees, and Terri Gregory.

Initial grants are expected to be made in early 2013. The Trust will also seek to generate additional funding resources after that time.

Any enquiries should initially be addressed to the trust at P O Box 220 Tauranga.
