New footage of swans being maimed
New footage of swans being maimed in Tauranga Harbour shows a speedboat chasing and hitting at least 12 swans in the mouth of the Aongatete River then turning to run over injured swans again.
The new footage was released by the same man who filmed and leaked a clip earlier this month of swans being run down by a jetboat in the harbour on Boxing Day.
The SPCA and Fish and Game New Zealand are investigating the first case and Tauranga SPCA inspector Jason Blair said he was aware of the new footage.
