New breakfast crew announced
The replacements for More Fm Tauranga's breakfast crew have been announced.
Brendon Weatherley and Bel Crawford will replace Vinnie Ashton and Kirt Richards from January 2013.
Weatherley returns from Taupo to his hometown, bringing ten years of radio experience to the control desk. He said he was thrilled to be returning back to the city and its listeners.
"Tauranga has got its own identity and it will be great to connect again."
Co-host Crawford joins 93.4 More Fm from More Fm Manawatu, where she has been part of the "Mike West In The Morning" breakfast team for the past four years.
Crawford has a background in broadcast journalism and in 2011 took out the coveted New Zealand Radio Award for Best New Broadcaster.
"I'm really excited about this opportunity and I'm looking forward to getting into it."
MediaWorks Radio Tauranga General Manager Tim Lockhart said the talented duo will bring a fresh sound to the city's local station. "We're extremely excited about this new chapter for 93.4 MORE FM.
"I know Bel and Brendon will be an instant hit and will live up to the high standards of our listeners."
Weatherly on January 14, with Crawford joining him in early February.
