A Tauranga naturist who won his appeal over an offensive behaviour conviction he received for jogging naked, is defending two similar charges relating to him mowing his lawns nude.

Andrew Pointon, 47, faced two charges of offensive behaviour in Tauranga District Court yesterday, but due to his lawyer's other commitments the defended hearing was adjourned until next year.

The offensive behaviour allegations stem from Pointon allegedly mowing his lawn on January 5 and March 31 this year naked in the presence of two young children and other adults.

No new hearing date has been set but the matter will be re-called on February 4.

Pointon's earlier conviction for jogging naked in a public reserve last year was quashed on appeal last month by Justice Paul Heath.
