Named and Shamed: drink drivers September
Every convicted drink driver will be named and shamed in the Bay of Plenty Times, on this website and on our Facebook page as part of a high-profile campaign to make our roads safer.
Breath testing measures the number of micrograms of alcohol (mcgs) per litre of breath. Blood testing measures the number of milligrams of alcohol (mgs) per 100 millilitres (mls) of blood.
The current legal limits are:
Drivers under 20 years - zero.
Drivers over 20 years - 400mcg breath or 80mg blood.
The list published contains the names and details of all drink-drivers convicted in the Tauranga District Court in September. Some drivers are still before the courts and their names cannot be released.
