A recently opened skate park in Mount Maunganui will reopen tomorrow after the premises were locked up when the landlord fell behind in rent.

Andrew Templar took over the lease on the Mount Action Centre late last year but was locked out of the building when he fell $90,000 behind in rent.

Dept of Adventure Ltd opened a new the Dialled Indoor Skate Park inside the Mount Action Centre building three weeks ago and have also been unable to get into the building this week.

Dept of Adventure spokesperson Kate Thomas said the skatepark would be reopening at 3.30pm tommorrow.

``We've got a seperate lease no just for the skatepark area, not the whole place,'' she said.

``Basically we went into a partnership with Andrew and we weren't aware of the outstanding money owing.''
