Update: Man killed in Taupo crash named
A man who was killed when the car he was driving collided with a truck in Taupo this morning can now be identified as 20-year-old Callan Moss, from Taupo.
The crash happened at approximately 1am on SH1. Two passengers in the car suffered minor injuries.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

A man is dead after a crash in Taupo early this morning.
A police spokesman said a truck and car collided on State Highway 1, about 1km north Centennial Drive, shortly after 1am.
The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was killed while two others from the car were transported to Taupo Hospital with minor injuries.
The road would remain closed until later this morning while the serious crash unit investigation was carried out.
