Man injured during motorcycle test run

A man has been taken to hospital after being knocked off a motorbike during a test run.

A man taking a motorcycle for a test run before handing it back to the owner is recovering in Tauranga Hospital after a collision this morning.

The man was travelling on the bike along Glasgow Rd about 8.15am when an oncoming car turned into his path.

The driver of the Honda car was taking it to a vehicle testing station to get a Warrant of Fitness for his customer - the owner of the car.

The man riding the motorcycle was injured in the collision and treated by St John ambulance and taken to hospital.

The driver of the car was unhurt.
