Man hit by car in central Tauranga
Police are on the look out for a car which sped away after hitting a pedestrian on Devonport Rd today.
Senior Sergeant Carl Purcell said a man was hit by a car about 2pm today.
He said the man was was not injured.
"The car has taken off,'' he said.
Police are in the area searching for the driver of the car.
It is understood the accident happened at the intersection of Devonport Rd and The Strand.
It is not yet known what type of car it is.
