Man accused of trying to abduct girl due in court
A Tauranga man accused of trying to abduct an 11-year-old girl is due back in Tauranga District Court today.
Aden Kingi, 28, of Ohauiti, is yet to plead to one charge each of attempted abduction and possession of cannabis.
He was refused bail at his last court appearance on February 18.
It is alleged Kingi approached the girl while she was cycling on Ohauiti Rd on February 11 and tried to entice her into his vehicle.
