Man accused of fatal Kawerau stabbing named
Name suppression has lapsed for a man accused of murdering a Kawerau man in January.
Thomas Edward Ray, 31, appeared in the Whakatane District Court today and did not enter a plea to a charge of murdering 23-year-old Kawerau man Gareth Lardelli Kaipara in January.
Bail was denied and he was further remanded in custody until April 17. He was represented by Bill Lawson.
