New Zealand's Got Talent finalist Fletcher Oxford will perform at one of the Bay's biggest summer concerts, Summerfest.

The Tauranga youngster will play about three songs in a 15-minute slot at the family-friendly festival on February 2.

Fletcher, from Oropi, said he was excited about performing to more than 10,000 people.

"It's really exciting and to have a home crowd is really cool. It's better than travelling everywhere to perform, and I feel more comfortable singing where I live."

Fletcher said the chance to sing in the same concert as J Williams, Titanium and I Am Giant was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and he hoped to meet them.
