Professional Kiwi boxer Gunnar Jackson has signed on to take part in the Carrus Lord of the Ring Charity Boxing Challenge next month.

Professional Kiwi boxer Gunnar Jackson is the next competitor to be named for the Carrus Lord of the Ring Charity Boxing Challenge next month.

The Tauranga athlete has made his mark on the boxing scene since turning professional in May 2010. Trained by Chris Walker, at the Tauranga Boxing Club, Jackson has put together a 20 fight, 14 wins, three draws and three-loss record.

In March he won the New Zealand Super Middleweight, followed a month later by the Pan Asia Boxing Association Light Heavyweight crown in Perth. The charity boxing event will be held at TECT Arena at Baypark on Saturday, December 8. The 110 corporate tables of 10 have  already been sold. General admission tickets of $40 each are on sale now.
