Insurer will consult with public about Rena's future

The Tauranga community have been invited to share their concerns about the future of Rena with a public consultation meeting tonight.

Captain John Owen from The Swedish Club will talk to community members and help to answer questions about the possibility of leaving Rena on Astrolabe Reef, or what the consequences will be of removing it.

The Swedish Club were taking feedback gained at the meeting tonight and another one held on Saturday into their decision making process about what to do with Rena next.

Tonight's meeting will be held at Baycourt from 4pm to 7pm.

Another meeting also being held on Saturday, November 3 Papamoa Sport and Recreation Centre, Gordon Spratt  Reserve, Parton Road, from 11am to 4pm.
