Injuries at motocross event

Rotorua-based BayTrust Rescue Helicopter was called to a motocross event near Pikowai at 2pm yesterday to assist a 6-year-old Te Puke boy who had received suspected abdominal injuries in a crash.

He was airlifted to Tauranga Hospital in a comfortable condition.

The helicopter returned to the track to uplift an 11-year-old Rotorua girl who received a suspected broken arm in a crash.

She was flown to Rotorua Hospital in a comfortable condition.
