Australian comedian and actor Heath Franklin will bring his award-winning comedy alter ego, Chopper, to Tauranga next month.

Chopper - who is known to New Zealand TV audiences from 7 Days and the Comedy Festival Gala - promises to bring "a lot more mongrel and a ... lot more moustache".

And he promises to get stuck into everything from the Rugby World Cup to hands-free mobiles, mangoes, Switzerland, anti-smoking ads and even Darth Vader.

Franklin can also be currently seen in cinemas in the New Zealand feature film Predicament.
