Hundreds at Mount Maunganui Waitangi service
Hundreds of people wrapped themselves up and turned up for the Waitangi Day dawn service at Hopukiore (Mt Drury) this morning.
The service included short sermons from Arataki Community Centre pastor Mike Hayes and Abundant Life Community pastor Mike Cullen as well as messages from local community leaders.
Performances by a kapahaka group and a pipes and drum band reflected the unity that was spoken of by each of the speakers.
