Bay of Plenty women are invited to attend a breakfast that promotes a healthy heart.

The Heart Foundation is hosing a breakfast event at the Trinity Wharf on September 25, to encourage women to take charge of their heart health.

Heart disease is the single biggest killer of New Zealand women, where an average of seven New Zealand women die each day from the disease.

At the breakfast, guests will hear life-saving stories from guest speakers, including Dame Susan Devoy.

The event is part of the Go Red for Women breakfast series, held in Tauranga, Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

Women are encouraged to bring friends, family and partners to the breakfast.
