LONG HAUL: Annie Chapman is following the Te Araroa trail.

Annie Chapman started her hikoi from Cape Reinga and is making her way to Wellington to raise awareness for the need for more healthy choices for mental healthcare in New Zealand.

In association with Big ReTHINK and Hearing Voices Network Aotearoa NZ, Annie will speak at a presentation tomorrow and discuss the need for healthy choices for mental healthcare.

The presentation will include Annie's insights on the hikoi and the reasons why she is walking.

There will be trailers of documentaries about two Scandinavian programmes that have had high success rates in healing psychosis and there will be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions, share views and join in the discussion.

The presentation is at The Link St Andrews Church Community Centre, cnr Te Aroha St and River Rd, Claudelands, 7.30-9.30pm.

Entry is by folding koha. Funds raised will go to support Annie's walk. Any extra funds will be donated to Hearing Voices Network Aotearoa NZ. For more, phone 022 173 9954 or visit hikoiforhealthychoices.wordpress.com.
