Bo Du appeared remorseful in the Hamilton District Court today after illegally obtaining more than $50,000.

The Department of Internal Affairs' Casino Compliance Manager, Rob Abbott, says this is a very unusual case.

He says one of the charges she faced was breaching her certificate from the Department of Internal Affairs, which says she can't accept any gratuities.

Bo Du has also been ordered to pay reparations of $20,000.
