Guilty plea for assault during rugby game

The man who knocked out former Bay of Plenty Steamers player Simon Chisholm during a rugby game has pleaded guilty.

Farmhand Uenuku Porena Peita, 22, appeared in Tauranga District Court yesterday charged with assault with intent to injure.

Peita punched Chisholm during a premier grade match in July.

He will next appear in court on December 20.
