Yvonne Hewitt, left, and Christine Wagstaff are part of the Nimble Fingers craft group that spends all year making Christmas tree decorations.

The women in Nimble Fingers craft group spend all year celebrating Christmas.

The group of six meets every Tuesday afternoon to create beautiful decorations to adorn a collection of Christmas trees that takes pride of place in the West Hamilton Anglican Parish's foyer.

The group, which has been meeting for 10 years, adds a new tree to its collection each year.

Members Yvonne Hewitt and Christine Wagstaff said the women choose a theme for the new tree at the beginning of the year and then create delicate, intricate decorations for it.

This year they have also erected a handmade nativity scene in the church.

"A celebration of Christmas" will be held tomorrow at the parish on Rifle Range Rd, from 1-5pm.

You can join members of the craft group and parish and sing along to carols at 2.30pm.

The trees can also be viewed from December 3-5 from 12.30-3.30pm.

The parish is located opposite Frankton Primary School.
