Go digital to keep watching TV
Everyone in Tauranga needs to go digital if they want to keep watching television after December 1, 2013.
Television in New Zealand is going digital in stages. Hawke's Bay and the West Coast of the South Island went digital last month but for everyone in Tauranga the time to remember is December 2013.
Going Digital community advisor Andrew Baillie said people didn't need a new television to go digital but most people would need some new equipment.
Television viewers in Tauranga can find out what they need to go digital and have their questions answered when Mr Baillie visits The Warehouse, Tauranga on Thursday October 25 between 10.30am and 1.30pm.
For people who already have a UHF aerial or satellite dish on their roof the move to digital TV can be as simple as buying a set-top box and hooking it up to the existing aerial or satellite dish lead.
"Everyone can find out what they need to go digital by visiting www.goingdigital.co.nz/myhouse and entering the address where the TV is located," said Mr Baillie.
For more details on how you can go digital chat with Mr Baillie when he visits The Warehouse, Tauranga on Thursday, October 25. Alternatively you can go to www.goingdigital.co.nz or call us on 0800 838 800.
